It is all started in the streets of London delivering packages in 1979 as Gentle Courier Services which become the Gentle Movers in Boston MA in the year of 1982 when the founder of the company moved to Boston to study engineering at Northeastern University.
At first it was helping a friend who operated a fine antiques store off Mass Avenue, delivering antique furniture to homes and businesses. Because of the very fragile nature of some of these pieces, and in many cases the high cost of replacement or repair, it became necessary to develop some rather unique approaches that was designed by an engineering mind.
As the company expanded into the residential and commercial markets, it made sense to apply these innovations to both household and office moves. To this date Gentle Movers stays true to its trade name, Gentle, meeting all types of challenges each move presents and delivering happiness to millions; one customer at a time.
